Recommended candidates no longer exclude people over either-or licences
A licence or certification written as one of several options, or as preferred, no longer leaves good candidates out of Recommended candidates.
What changed
Recommended candidates now read licences and certifications in a job’s text more carefully. When the text offers a choice, such as a degree or a licence, or says a qualification is preferred or a plus, people without it are no longer left out of the list. When a licence is entered as required on the job, or written as a plain requirement, it still has to be met.
Lists built from now on use the job’s current description and other job fields.
Why it matters
A job description that says a candidate needs a degree with experience, or a nursing licence, used to be treated as if the licence were mandatory. Strong candidates who met the first option could disappear from the suggestions.
How to use it
Enter any licence you truly require in the job’s required licence field, and write other qualifications as options or preferences in the description. Lists built before this change keep their earlier order.
Boundaries to know about
Only the job’s description and its other job fields are read, and a qualification mentioned in a sentence that is not clearly optional is still treated as required. The list is a starting point for your search and does not replace your own judgement about who to contact.
